The Most Common Bearing Types - Cylindrical Roller Bearings

2020-12-07 10:39:05  News

Cylindrical roller bearings are separable bearings, which are very convenient to install and disassemble. According to the number of rows of rolling elements in the bearing, there are different structures such as single row, double row and multiple row cylindrical roller bearings. Among them, single-row cylindrical roller bearings with cages are more commonly used. In addition, there are other structural bearings such as single row or double row full complement cylindrical rollers. Cylindrical roller bearings can withstand larger radial loads and are suitable for use in high-speed running applications.

The Most Common Bearing Types - Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Categories and characteristics

Standard single-row cylindrical roller bearings are classified according to the different ring rib structures:

The outer ring of the N-type bearing has no ribs. Double ribs on the inner ring

NU type bearing has no ribs on the inner ring and double ribs on the outer ring

N-type or NU-type bearings can allow the shaft to make bidirectional axial displacement relative to the bearing housing within a certain range, so they are suitable for non-locating bearings.

NJ type bearings have double ribs on the outer ring and single ribs on the inner ring

NF type has double ribs on the inner ring and single ribs on the outer ring

The characteristics of the NJ and NF models are that they allow the shaft to produce axial displacement in one direction, and can bear a certain unidirectional axial load.

NUP type bearings are bearings with double ribs on the outer ring and single ribs on the inner ring with flat retaining rings.

NFP type bearings are bearings with double ribs on the inner ring and single rib on the outer ring with flat retaining rings.

According to different applications, NU type bearings and NJ type bearings can also be used in combination with HJ oblique retaining rings. NUP This bearing can be used as a two-way positioning bearing. Double-row cylindrical roller bearings have two structures: cylindrical bore and conical bore. This type of bearing has the advantages of compact structure, high rigidity, large carrying capacity, and small deformation after being loaded, and is especially suitable for machine tool spindles.

The structural feature of NN type bearings is that the inner ring has double ribs and the outer ring has no ribs.

NNU type bearings have double ribs on the outer ring and no ribs on the inner ring

These two types of bearings do not limit the relative axial displacement between the shaft and the housing, and are suitable for non-locating bearings. The cage of this type of bearing mostly uses a car-made solid cage.

NNF type bearings are double row full complement cylindrical roller bearings, which can withstand overturning moments in addition to large radial and axial loads. Therefore, they are often used as fixed bearings. NNF bearing is a structure with two inner rings with double ribs and an outer ring with middle ribs. The roller is guided by the ribs of the double inner ring, and the two inner rings are fixed together with a fastening ring.

Both ends of the NNF bearing adopt contact seals. The bearing is filled with grease. When a single row cylindrical roller bearing with ribs on the inner and outer rings is selected, the axial load capacity should be calculated. The value is related to the radial load and the lubrication method. The working temperature of grease is -50 to +110, but due to the limitation of oil seal material, the working temperature of bearing is limited to -40 to +80. Under good working conditions, NNF bearings with oil seals do not require maintenance. If the bearings are exposed to water vapor or polluted environment for a long time and are running at medium or high speeds, the bearings can be adjusted through the lubricating oil grooves and lubricating holes on the outer ring Perform relubrication.

FC type or FCD type four-row cylindrical roller bearings are used in heavy machinery such as cold and hot rolling mills and billeting machines. The bearings are separated. The bearing rings and rolling element components can be easily separated. The bearings are cleaned and inspected. It is easy to disassemble and assemble.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings are used in large and medium-sized motors, locomotives, machine tool spindles, internal combustion engines, generators, gas turbines, reduction gear boxes, rolling mills, vibrating screens, and lifting and transporting machinery.
